As Chair of Urban Arts Partnership’s Artistic Board, Rosie Perez has been a driving force behind the organization from its inception. Since 1992 Rosie has helped design programs, raise funds to support them, and build an active Artistic Board. Leading this group of dedicated artists, she simultaneously works with students to catapult them to success, while bringing much needed visibility to the cause. She is driven by her belief that “the only thing that separates a privileged kid from an underprivileged kid is opportunity.”
In September 2011, the Board of Directors elected Taylor Kushner and Neel Parekh to serve as new Co-Chairs, with Josh Ufberg as Vice-Chair. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Susan Ellis and Peter Lurie who, having served as Co-Chairs for six years, skillfully led the organization to become what it is today.
