PS 277's East Side House second graders are preparing for a trip to see Undertoe Dance Project perform at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center on March 4th, and they are super excited! Raoul, in the second class, predicts that "the dancers will be so good we are going to cry". That's pretty darn good! The students are excited to see the dancers perform many of the basic tap steps they themselves have learned, such as shuffle, falap, and cramp roll. They are excited to see dazzling new steps as well! Artistic Director, Dana Fisch, has helped the dancers prep by sending a list of themes of each piece of choreography - musical themes, rhythmic themes, and even emotional themes such as love, friendship, and collaboration. Here is a video of some of the students' predictions for the performance:
- Parent Workshops at IS 528 and MS 258 Community Action
