Urban Arts Partnership offers the option of giving directly to specific projects that are in need of funding. These “Producers Projects” are led by members of our Board of Directors.

"Life Stories" - Career Connection at The New Group Theater

Advanced theater training for 20 students from six low-income public schools this summer, culminating in an original theater production at the Acorn Theater!

"My Story" - Arts Integration at PS 155 in Harlem

PS 155 English Language Learners (recent immigrant students) and struggling students in two classrooms improve English language skills through media projects based on Calder’s “Circus” and animations on “My Family.”

"Producing Knowledge" - Career Connection At Urban Arts' Media Lab

15 student Media Activists from 5 schools will produce an original film project of social importance this summer in our Media Lab– a follow-up to last year’s project currently selected by the Tribeca Film Festival, International Human Rights Film Festival and the New York International Film & Video Festival.

 

"Summer Connection" - Summer Studies/Credit Recovery @ New Design High School

Arts integrated summer courses in classes like “Lower East Side Radio Drama” and “My Story” Music Production help engage 50 students at New Design High School this summer to improve attendance and graduate on time.  

"Memory Book Project" - Service Learning at MS 131 Chinatown

English Language Learner middle school students pair with elderly individuals from the neighborhood Senior Center in the Memory Book community service project.
